Description
Financial Accountant Required to join a Commodity Brokers on a 12-month FTC with the opportunity to become permanent.


Workday experience is highly beneficial.


The role entails responsibility for periodic financial accounting and reporting, the periodic reforecast processes, the preparation of management reports both for internal and Group management, and a focus on process improvement.


Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts including analysis and commentary.
  • Preparation of MI/Board Packs on a monthly basis.
  • Preparation and checking financial statements for reporting
  • Analysis of performance (e.g. variance analysis vs. budget, written commentary)
  • Detailed analysis and reporting of other financial data and metrics (e.g. overhead cost analysis, CAPEX, working capital and return on capital, cash flow)
  • Reviewing data posted by external systems and other departments for reasonableness and identifying possible errors.
  • Preparation of management reports, and periodic financial presentations.
  • Assist the preparation of financial budgeting & reforecasting.
  • Assist in other periodic and ad hoc Finance projects (finance and accounting support for commercial transactions, acquisitions, disposals etc.)

To be considered for this vacancy, you must have the following experience:


  • Part qualified or Qualified (CA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Experience within the Financial Services and/or Commodities industries would be beneficial

Workday OR other ERP's experience is highly beneficial

  • A good understanding of financial principles, processes and controls, and the purpose of financial and management reporting
  • Confident in the use of Excel for manipulating data, with advanced Excel skills (complex formulae: INDEX-MATCH, VLOOKUP, etc.)
