Accounting Associate I (Part-time)

SUMMARY
This part-time position provides support in processing of invoices, ensuring payments are made in an accurate and timely manner.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • A/P input
  • Preparing weekly Payment runs
  • Responsible for dealing with supplier queries
  • Reviewing supplier statements
  • Arranging foreign currency payments
  • Issuing adhoc payments
  • Projecting 4 weekly cash requirements to cover A/P payments
  • Special projects as needed.
  • Available to work overtime as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Any other duties as required.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
HNC in accounting or similar qualification; 2 years experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and process Accounts Payable documentation. Converse appropriately and articulately with vendors, clients, and work colleagues.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.


REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
HNC in accounting or equivalent
