Join us as our Head of Culture

  • This is a critical role where you'll work with the Culture and Capability Director and other key business leaders to shape and maintain our bank's culture.
  • To do this, you'll develop a robust corporate culture plan that aligns with our bank's purpose, values, and strategy, while working with stakeholders to create a diverse work environment that is in service of good customer outcomes.

What you'll do:


As our Head of Culture, you'll establish a group culture plan, engage stakeholders, understand, and assess current activities across our business and identify optimal solutions, while focusing on regulatory preparation and engagement as it relates to culture, ethics and organisational behaviour.


Alongside this, you'll establish the behavioural science strategy and provide appropriate consultancy services to our bank on all aspects of behavioural science and psychology to inform, support, develop and evaluate customer and colleague products, propositions, and experiences.


Your top priorities will include:

  • Developing the thinking and approach to culture and the integrated behavioural science capability through external insights and thought leadership and identifying future trends.
  • Translating these insights and thinking into interventions, approaches and practices and people propositions that support the delivery of our bank's strategy and purpose.
  • Leading interventions that're designed to help our bank reach its cultural ambitions and develop our target culture.
  • Supporting the goal leads with all the key people drivers, including embedding our purpose and values, supporting our leadership propositions, reward, and recognition that encourages responsible behaviour, removing barriers to support autonomy and empowerment alongside deep colleague listening that encourages psychological safety.
  • Collaborating with the Head of Insights to gather colleague feedback to assess colleague engagement, identify areas for improvement and support the implementation of change.
  • Working with teams to ensure the development of appropriate frameworks for behavioural audits and models and expectations that're aligned to the culture and capability model
  • Managing the bank's assessment strategy and standards in partnership with key stakeholders to deliver value for money and to ensure processes remain free from bias

The skills you'll need
:


In addition, you'll need an understanding of how to lead the development and embedding of capability frameworks in a complex organisation-wide context, experience of the banking industry or regulatory and commercial environment and knowledge of HR models and practices.


Furthermore, you'll need:

  • A background of leading diverse and professional teams
  • Experience of operational and financial planning
  • Knowledge of relevant legal policies, regulations and risk management
