Civil Supervisor - On-site/Remote (Brentwood)

£40,000 - £50,000 per annum

Alecto recruitment are working with a Telecommunications company based in Kent who currently have projects spreading to Brentwood. Delivering next generation access and onnectivity for voice and data communication services.

_D_uties and Responsibilities_:

_:


  • Support management team to always uphold high levels of safety & compliance for civils works
  • Support and oversee daytoday supervision of civils gangs site setups ensuring fully compliant
  • Provide support to the Yard/Transport manager and subcontract civils gang leads
  • Feedback any unsafe practices or noncompliant site setups to management team
  • Ensure Civils gangs maintain high levels of professionalism when representing KNTC
  • Maintain excellent internal communication throughout the teams
  • Ensure Civils teams are in possession of and using full PPE as required at all times
  • Ensure Civils teams are not wearing any other branded uniform and are KNTC branded
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures
  • Issue daily progress reports as required to the Civils Manager/permit coordinator by phone
  • Ensure unforeseen works are covered by variation process and the Civils Manager is informed
  • Ensure accurate recording of closing measurements/aslaid details in line with KNTC procedure
  • Ensure all Civils Start/Stops & registrations are sent as per agreed process
  • Assist in the scheduling of ongoing activities/extensions to permits for overrun works
  • Liaise with contractors, streetworks inspectors, 3rd party landowners and any other 3rd party where required
  • Work with teams to ensure safe, effective and efficient site setups of all Civils works
  • Work closely with Civils Manager & Permitting coordinator to ensure productive allocation of resources
  • Contribute to wider team: advise, share knowledge and experience based on expertise
  • Liaise with colleagues across KNTC/C8TM to ensure effective completion of tasks
  • Represent KNTC to customers and individuals from other companies
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with customers and other external parties
  • Deal with all issues arising including investigation and resolution of customer complaints
  • Liaise with the public ensuring they are fully aware of ongoing works to aid delivery
  • Implement KNTC approach to Quality in all you do and ensure civils gangs complete all work with a special focus on reinstatements being completed to a high standard to reduce defects
  • Implement KNTC Environmental policy and ensure waste is eliminated or reduced wherever possible and/or disposed of correctly
  • Confident is the use of all Civils related equipment, GDU's, Cat & Genny's, Disc cutting, ground extraction and compaction tools

_Minimum Education/ Qualifications/Training Required:
_

_Essential_

  • Minimum of 3+ years Civils related experience
  • SMSTS/SSSTS Accredited
  • NRSWA Supervisor
  • HAUC Knowledge
  • H&S and Civils related raining courses completed
  • Full clean UK driving licence
  • Holder of a current CSCS affiliated card / qualification

_Essential Equipment Knowledge Required:

_:


  • Office 36 specifically, Outlook, Excel, Word, and SharePoint/Teams
  • Proficient in use of Cat and Genny
  • Understanding of heavy machinery civils related

_Desirable_

  • Category B on Driving Licence
  • Technical Member of IOSH
  • Quality Management training / experience
  • Construction/Project Management experience a bonus
In return my client is offering a Full time, permanant position offering between £40,000 - £50,000 DOE.

This would include all the equipment required to fulfil the role including a Vehicle.
