Zachary Daniels Finance are proud to be partnering exclusively with a fantastic SME Business and Consumer Services group based in Cheshire.

The business has ambitious growth plans including a doubling of turnover in the coming years through both organicand acquisitive growth.

About the role
The Finance Director will report directly to the Managing Director and have full responsibility for finance across the organisation. There is a significant commercial finance flavour to this role.

Whilst the technical aspects of finance are not to be forgotten,it is expected that this appointment will play a key role in the corporate growth of the business.

Key responsibilities

Overarching responsibility for finance
Key member of the senior leadership team and direct support to the Managing Director
Lead, develop and manage financial strategy

- 'Hands on' operational financial support and business partnering

Development and improvement of process, procedure and control
Provision of first class financial reporting to the business and the board
Full responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, planning & analysis
Identification and mitigation of risks, compliance, and adherence to regulations
Leadership and management of the finance team

Person profile

ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified
Construction, Business Services, SME Group experience
Experience of M&A, Due Diligence and Sale Transaction/IPO would be beneficial
Strong character, familiar with working in a privately owned SME environment

- 'Hands on' approach, with an understanding of the requirement to sometimes step out of the 'Finance Director' job description and contribute at all levels of finance

Excellent stakeholder management skills
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
Excellent stakeholder management ability, diplomatic, team player
