Heritage House School is a school for children and young people aged 2-19 years with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties.

In addition, pupils may have autistic spectrum conditions, physical and neurological impairments, sensory impairments or complex health needs.

Our aim of Heritage House School is to enable children and young people to learn and achieve within an enriching, relevant, stimulating and enjoyable curriculum.

In doing so we will ensue our children and young people enjoy educational and social experiences which will prepare them for life beyond Heritage House.


About the role:


This is a senior post within the school staffing structure, which carries with it membership of the Senior Leadership Team.

The post holder will lead the LEAF provision within the school and may be called upon to deputise for the Headteacher in the event of their absence.


The key role of this post is to facilitate curriculum development and management of teaching and learning and to take a lead in the monitoring and evaluation of standards across key stages 4 and 5.

The post holder is expected to mentor teachers and interact and lead colleagues on a professional level in order to promote a mutual understanding of the schools vision and values.


You will lead on the vocational provision in the school and develop the LEAF Centre as a Centre of Excellence in Buckinghamshire.

You will be responsible for developing the current provision with a view to developing a 19 to 25 year provision.
