Programme Overview

Join our apprentice programme commencing in September 2024. You will be part of our Global Markets teams in a full-time capacity while pursuing a three-year Digital Technology Degree. Gain hands-on experience working with seasoned professionals, contributing to impactful projects, and staying abreast of cutting-edge technology. Complete a Degree in Digital and Technology Solutions, with a specialization in Software Engineering, at the end of the programme.

Apprentices progress based on their ambitions and skill development, leveraging employee networks and resources to propel their careers.

The Team

The Product Development team at Bank of America plays a crucial role in enhancing the Global Equities Platform. Collaborating with various stakeholders, this team develops platform solutions driving efficiency and profitability. From electronic trading to data analysis, the team's diverse expertise benefits the business.

Successful apprentices integrate their learning with real-world projects at Bank of America, ensuring a holistic learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

As an apprentice, you will:

Utilize your programming skills to engineer solutions for the business.
Work closely with clients and partners on the trading floor.
Manage the software development lifecycle from requirements to delivery.

What We Look For

144 UCAS points (AAA) predicted or achieved.
Strong programming skills, preferably in Python, C#, or Java.
Effective communication skills to convey ideas clearly.

Desired

Background in Computer Science and/or Mathematics.
Exposure to modern web UI frameworks like React or Angular.

Qualifications / Eligibility

- Hold or predicted to achieve at least 3 A levels/BTEC or equivalent with a minimum of 144 UCAS points (AAA Grades)

GCSE grade 7 in Maths and grade 5 in English Language or equivalent.
UK residency for the past 3 years.
Right to work in the UK indefinitely.
No prior qualification or apprenticeship at the same level or higher.
