Description
The role includes on site management and supervision, resource/workload planning of directly employed operatives, engineers and subcontractors, including finishing trades, ensuring high quality, timely and safe works order contract delivery and client/customer liaison.
Ensuring adherence to company process and administration systems, which includes maintaining documented records and reporting daily, weekly, monthly on performance related activities such as: Health & Safety, inductions, method, risk & COSSH assessments, toolbox talks, quality audits/inspections.
Specific duties/key responsibilities
- In conjunction with the Contract Administration team, allocate and progress works using the company's software system MRI Repairs accompanied by the individual's PDAs.
- Undertake technical and quality site pre/post inspections.
- When required, attend client performance review meetings.
- Carry out client surveys and price as appropriate.
- Ensure all operational staff comply with the Companies H&S/Quality Policy standards.
- Ensure compliance with Construction Phase Health & Safety plan (where appropriate)
- Ensure operational staff follow the due process for hazard awareness and risk assessments' to ensure compliance with the safety policy.
- Liaise with the Contract Administrators to resource plan allocated engineers/suppliers' daily workloads in line with company procedures and work programmes.
- Monitor direct labour and subcontractor competence, productivity and compliance including checking certification, i.e. Gas Safe, NICEIC and other certification as required.
- Ensure Health & Safety and Fleet compliance is adhered to, in line with company policies.
- Ensure engineers are wearing appropriate uniform, PPE and displaying their company I.D's.
- Ensure processes are undertaken and recorded for sign off, i.e. benchmarks, quality checks, snagging etc.
- Where appropriate carry out handson duties to assist engineers and job workload.
- Report and ensure compliance of operatives and supply chain/suppliers to be issued nonconformities.
- Commit to undertaking training courses and tools box talks in line with your duties.
- Comply with all directives issued by the company for procurement of labour, materials and equipment hire/purchase.
- Assist with provision of weekly document returns including but not limited to; certs, performance, attendance, materials, O&M info and queries to Contract Management.
- Maintain site & electronic files in accordance with standard filing structure.
- Provide mentoring support to apprentices, trainees, work experience personnel, etc.
- In conjunction with Group HR, undertake appropriate performance management meetings where punctuality, attendance &/or quality of work concerns occur. Provide feedback to the company's appraisal process relevant to the engineers/operatives under your direct management.
- You will be measured on Key Performance Indicators to ensure your role is being carried out to the company's expected standards.
