The Data Risk and Control Service Management Lead primarily supports the Protect pillar of the strategy.


Key priorities include:

  • Supporting the Data & Analytics Simplification Programme and review of Key Firm Priorities
  • Supporting delivery on the Tooling and Automation for Data Risk and Controls Programme
  • Supporting the Service Management team across the various initiatives
  • Conducting extensive analysis and running workshops with senior stakeholders across Data Controls to realise key efficiencies and benefit levers
  • Coordinate and support operational team members against relevant workstream
Your key responsibilities include some of but not limited to:

  • Accountable for ensuring the products & services are supported by the right architectures and solutions meet the customer needs
  • Lead and support development of simplification strategic initiative in DAO Data Utility for Service Management and to identify cross capability efficiencies.
  • Analysis of alignment of the strategic directions of Data Utility initiatives with broader Group Strategy
  • Support with the consolidation of Senior Management reporting that is accurate and automate where possible
  • Lead and work towards delivery of the strategic agenda for the Service Management capability focusing on Data Utility's operational model covering SLA, Service Reporting, RACIs, Service Catalogue, Pricing model and Governance.
  • Support to deliver on Tooling and Automation initiatives which includes but not limited to customer journey mapping, path to green for tooling performance issues, identifying opportunities for automation and participating in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage and ensure good practices in the management of data tools, standards, frameworks and templates
  • Supports the continuing development and transformation of the Data Utility operating model to ensure data practitioners operate effectively and efficiently
  • Track execution of underlying DAO Data Utility key initiatives to ensure strategic KPIs are met
  • Promotes an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC Brand.
Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Experience implementing Data tools a must
  • Data management/Data Services experience
  • Data control and the implementation of Data controls OR Data Risk experience
  • Service management experience OR Data Automation/Tooling experience preferred
  • Selfstarter
  • Strong coordination skills
  • Good stakeholder management background with the confidence to engage and influence senior managers.
