About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly and professional People Services team - we have recently launched a new people vision and a new HR system so it is a great time to drive this forward and make your mark.

Reporting directly to the Executive Team, this is an integral role in our business and you will be communicating with the Executive and Senior Management team on a regular basis.

The role is Bristol based with a blend of home and office working.

Day-to-day you'll lead the People Services team in delivering a number of exciting projects, including our innovative people and culture project.


Primary areas of focus and accountability include:

talent acquisition and sourcing, induction and onboarding, people administration HR systems, manager advice and employee relations, business partnering, learning and development, talent management and succession planning, reward and recognition and equality, diversity and inclusion.

You'll develop and maintain effective working relationships across the Company to ensure that all aspects of HR and employee well-being are delivered to a high standard.


Key responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver a full range of People services to support incoming, current, exiting, and former employees, line managers, senior leaders and Directors.
  • Own, champion and deliver our People Vision and a positive workplace culture, by taking a peoplecentred and evidencebased approach to all HR/People activities.
  • Responsible for managing the People Services team including direct line management responsibility of the managers within the team. Continually support and upskill the People Services team to competently and confidently manage client relationships and service delivery to groups and divisions, without relying on intervention from more senior managers in the organisation and/or more senior colleagues the People Team.
  • Build relationships with Directors and senior business leaders to understand and ensure that your team are acting in alignment with their needs and develop and facilitate of workshops/training and updates for Directors and senior business leaders.
  • Develop/deliver tailored people plans, programs and processes that enables divisions and groups to achieve their business objectives.
  • Support Directors and senior business leaders to address a wide range of complex problems and assist in the resolution of highrisk escalated issues.
  • Oversight and involved in the resolution of any highrisk and/or highimpact processes.

Essential experience and skills

  • Confident in leading culture change
  • Highly experienced HR generalist
  • Commercially aware
  • Up to date knowledge of employment legislation
  • Working knowledge of HR business partnering at a senior level
  • Management experience in an HR/People Team
  • Strong communicator
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Must be resourceful and a self
- starter

  • Microsoft Office and related tools
  • CIPD Level 7 qualification highly desirable
