Senior Analyst (Capital Markets)

Company:

A leading financial services corporation is currently recruiting a Senior Analyst who possess experience within Financial Services, preferably within Capital Markets, Mortgage Lending and Risk Modelling who can utilise tools such as Excel and VBA.

Our clientoffers remote working with office presence required, a basic salary of £46,000 to £54,000 and an excellent benefits package outlined below.

The key purpose of this role is to provide analytical support to the Group Capital Markets Director, Group Director of Balance Sheet Optimisation and senior members of the Capital Markets team in all aspects of their responsibilities; in particular to assistin the completion of capital markets transactions; preparation of robust data and reports for both internal and external stakeholders; development of new tools and processes with appropriate controls; and to provide in depth analytical support and insightto the broader capital markets function.

Core Responsibilities:

Lead on the day to day analytical work to support the delivery of capital markets transactions, escalating any issues as appropriate
Provide high level analytical support to the capital markets function, providing concise commentary regarding the findings and make recommendations where appropriate
Use best practices to improve processes, and be able to adapt to ad hoc tasks leveraging prior experience and knowledge to develop a solution for them. Lead in the production of automated tools to assist the Capital Markets team in the production of dataand reports for both internal and external stakeholders. Where tools/ models have been developed within the team, maintain and manage robust audit trails, version controls and procedure documents
Work with the Head of Transaction Delivery (Capital Markets) in the management of loan collateral pools with both the BOE and other secured funding facilities and provide detailed analysis and recommendation as appropriate
Work with and support the Balance Sheet Optimisation Manager in the development of the Group wide balance sheet management strategies, aiding in the review and writing of Executive summaries, ALCO papers and presentations where necessary
Support the Balance Sheet Optimisation Manager and wider Capital Markets function in the preparation/ development of capital forecasting scenarios, third party residential mortgage backed securities (RMBS) investment appraisal information/ tools, and themaintenance of those tools

Experience Requirements:

5 years previous experience of Financial Services is essential.
2 years' experience working an analyst (capital markets or risk management) is essential
2 years previous experience of capital markets is essential
A good knowledge of capital markets or structured finance is essential
An excellent knowledge of mortgage lending and markets is essential
Good understanding of Risk Modelling processes is essential
Good understanding of securitisation is desirable
Advanced Excel and modelling skills are essential. SQL, R, VBA are particularly helpful
