The role
You will lead delivery of financial planning and analysis for the Heritage Value Centre.


Key responsibilities:

  • Acting as a trusted advisor across all financial metrics to the Heritage CEO and Heritage Senior Leadership team
  • Lead financial review of business cases and investment decisions. Ensure aligned with Heritage and wider Group strategy and embedded within underlying Heritage financial plans
  • Comprehensive understanding of the inforce value drivers within the Heritage customer base and business flows. Develop appropriate monthly metrics and lead indicators (provided monthly by the Financial Reporting Centre)
  • Lead Finance activity to maximise value of the existing policies quantifying impact of financial impact of proposals and identifying alternatives
  • Lead FP&A on behalf of the Heritage Value Centre for business cases and investments proposed by other Value Centres
  • Manage and control the Heritage Direct cost base. Review proposed allocations. Maintain longerterm view of the cost base ensuring Heritage on track to deliver previously agreed synergies and overall expenses decreasing in line with AOP assumptions
  • Monthly MI review monthly Heritage financial MI across all metrics
  • Monitor delivery of Management Actions
  • Group deliverables incl. AOP, BRM, in year reforecasts, ExCo papers, REM papers leads provision of all financial material
  • Act as the gateway to other services in FP&A, to enable more efficient provision of Finance services to Heritage

What are we looking for?

  • Experienced finance professional with financial services experience. Insurance experience is preferable
  • Proven track record in providing timely, accurate, reliable and informative financial information
  • High quality communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a straightforward and unambiguous manner
  • Great stakeholder management skills, being able to influence and build lasting relationships at all levels across the business
  • Proven experience of leading and developing high performing teams to realise their potential and exceed expectations.
