About KIDS:

***- KIDS is a national charity which has been supporting disabled children, young people and families since We work with children, irrespective of their disability, from birth through to 25 years. Each year we support over 15,000 disabled children, offer over 120 different services and work with about 80 Local Authorities across England.- We are passionate, caring and trusted and our vision is a world in which all disabled children and young people realise their aspirations. We offer support and practical help for families, every step of the way.


About The Role:

***- As an Early Years Practitioner you will be working directly with disabled children, or young people and their families. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills in a rewarding role, and gain a strong sense of achievement.- To deliver high quality child care and play opportunities for disabled children, siblings and their parents/carers accessing KIDS community groups throughout Birmingham.- This role will require you to travel to the following areas: Erdington, Sutton Coldfield, Perry Barr, Yardley, Hall Green, Edgbaston ,Ladywood, Hodge Hill, Northfield, and SellyOak.

    About You:
***- Level 3 qualification or above in Early Years- To be able to carry out this role we would expect you to have the followingcharacteristics:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working directly in an early years settingis desired.
  • Good verbal, written and communication skills
  • Experience of working with children under 5 in an early years environment
  • Experience of working within a team
  • Experience of Safeguarding and Child Protection
  • Knowledge of age appropriate development of children, taking account ofcultural differences
  • Experience of multiagency working and parent partnership
  • Knowledge of EYFS and Ofsted requirements
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding and Child Protection
  • Knowledge of Equal Opportunities
  • Knowledge of Data Protection
  • Experience working with children with SEND and their families
  • Experience of working with children and their families who have English as an additional language
