Transport Planner
Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate transport routes to meet delivery schedules
- Utilise TMS & IT systems to track vehicles and monitor delivery progress
- Liaise with drivers, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth deliveries/collections
- Manage office tasks related to transport planning
- Provide leadership and guidance to the driving team
Required Skills:
- Previous transport planner experience is essential
- Proficient in IT systems for transport management
- Strong background in logistics and sameday couriers
- Office skills for documentation and reporting
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to guide the driving team effectively
- Excellent customer service skills for customer interactions
- Computer literacy for data analysis and reporting
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Job Types:
