DevOps Team Leader - Azure Team
Experian Consumer Information Services (CIS) is seeking an experienced DevOps Team Leader to join our Azure team.


Job Description:


Background:


With a large number of digital, data driven services in the Customer Information Services area of Experian; traditional ways of working are giving way to a new generation of digital products design to respond to the particular needs of individual consumers.

This position is full-time and based on a hybrid work model: as a team we will designate certain days for in-office meetings and collaboration, and remote days for work involving individual focus - it will then require occasional traveling to our London office.


Key responsibilities:


  • Building and maintaining automation and infrastructure via infrastructure as code that support the delivery of our products to our clients
  • Upholding pragmatic practices and ensuring what we build is tested to a high standard and is efficient in its use
  • Provide expertise and guidance to colleagues in developing and fulfilling nonfunctional software requirements
  • Collaborate with and support colleagues to aid their continuous improvement and your own
  • Document services, infrastructure, and operational procedures
  • Ensure the security, reliability, resilience, and responsiveness of our platforms are maintained and improved

Qualifications:


Experience/ Skills:


  • Extensive handson experience with Azure, preferably with exposure to API use and PaaS offerings (for example App Services and Azure SQL)
  • Handson experience with IaC tools (e.g. ARM templates, Terraform)
  • Handson exposure to working with containerised solutions
  • Experience in scripting (e.g. PowerShell or Bash)
  • Strong experience in Agile ways of working
  • Handson knowledge of the use of repositories (e.g. GitHub, Azure Repositories)
  • Good exposure to a continuous integration and continuous deployment architecture (with product knowledge on Octopus Deploy being beneficial)
  • Any knowledge of developing in C#/.NET would be a bonus
