The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding team and you will predominately be based on site in Liverpool.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular building checks to ensure safety, security, and cleanliness standards are maintained.
- Manage contractors and oversee their work onsite, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Carry out compliance tasks such as legionella checks.
- Carry out maintenance tasks such as minor joinery, painting, changing light bulbs, waste management decorating, minor ground works, paving, and fencing repairs.
- Read and record utility meter readings accurately.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work completed, materials used, and any issues encountered.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
- Ensure that all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored securely.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines, at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service to the building's tenants and stakeholders, addressing any concerns or issues in a professional manner.
- Perform site checks and minor repairs at various locations across the UK as and when required.
Key skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in building maintenance or facilities management.
- Trade background.
- I.T literate.
- Trade qualification desirable.
- Proficiency in a range of maintenance tasks including joinery, painting, decorating, and minor ground works.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to travel as required to various sites across the UK mainly North West England, sometimes at short notice.
- Full UK driving license with a clean driving record.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks and work at heights if required.
- Ability to use initiative and problemsolving skills to resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
