Fabrication and Welding Apprenticeship Trainer

Full time, 37 hours per week (Part time hours available)

Salary up to £30,742 per annum dependant on qualifications and experience

PLUS St Modwen's bursary up to £1,800 per year (qualification level dependant)

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced Fabrication and Welding Apprenticeship Trainer Assessor to join our professional Apprenticeship team.


You will teach, assess, and support apprentices that are engaged in the new Apprenticeship Standards from levels 2 to 3.

You will have a sound knowledge of current Apprenticeship Standards alongside strong communication skills at all levels, to include the ability to converse effectively with employers at all levels.

You will support and facilitate apprentices learning, liaise closely with employers, management and other College departments to ensure successful outcomes for a cohort of apprentices.

As part of these roles you may also be required to deliver part-time evening courses, or assess learners away from College.


Industrial and commercial experience within the fabrication and welding industry is essential, alongside an understanding and knowledge of NVQ systems.

An appropriate teaching qualification, an assessor award, and teaching experience would be desirable, but all levels of prior training will be considered.***There may be opportunities for gaining further qualifications while in post as stated above.
