We are looking for an experienced Digital Content Officer to join an organisation building brighter futures for vulnerable children.

Salary:
Circa. £30,763 per annum, depending on experience

About the role:


If you are looking to take your creative and strategic content skills to a different level, whilst making a difference in children's lives, this is your chance This role sits at the heart of our digital acquisition team, responsible for the full content strategy across our digital channels.

You will be responsible for creating content plans that reach, engage, and convert potential donors and turn them into sponsors and supporters.


You will be developing highly creative content that resonates with our audiences and is adapted to each of our digital channels.

You'll be responsible for the whole process; from creating overall concepts, by leading brainstorming sessions with various stakeholders, to refining the ideas and copywriting key messages for each of our digital channels.


With a test and learn mindset key, you'll develop a content testing plan and report back on learnings to the wider organisation, as well as across the partnership.


Feeding into key financial goals, your work as a Digital Content Officer plays a pivotal role and will be held against strict financial acquisition targets, which will be at the thought-front of all activity.

The role also plays a pivotal part in driving lead generation tactics and creating upper funnel engagement.


Key responsibilities will include:


  • Developing and delivering the content marketing strategy for acquisition in alignment with the campaign and channels strategies.
  • Developing a content testing plan and sharing learnings with the wider digital team and organisation.
  • Creating and optimising forms and landing pages in line with the content and campaign plan. Looking at the entire UX experience to ensure the best journey for our supporters.
  • Content generation for campaigns and evergreen periods, including copywriting, video storyboarding and image sourcing.
  • Lead on repurposing content from the international organisation for the UK market. Working closely with inhouse design team for this and outsourcing where needed.
  • Reporting on content engagement using upper funnel metrics including at regular campaign catchups with channel owners.
  • Blog delivery in line with campaigns and channel needs. Including sourcing stories, copywriting, and publishing.

About you:


For the role of Digital Content Officer, we're looking for someone who's highly creative to develop, in collaboration with the digital team, innovative, cut-through and engaging content adapted to our channels (including TikTok, Instagram and YouTube) and target audiences.


Key skills required to succeed in this role include:

  • Experience in creating a digital content strategy for acquisition.
  • Excellent copywriting + proofreading skills.
  • Experience in delivering, testing, and optimising inspiring and seamless user experiences online thinking about all touchpoints of the journey.
  • Confidence in hosting crossorg content brainstorming sessions to deliver strong creative outputs.
  • Confidence in reporting on content success including to our international offices.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience creating storyboards + content plans.
