  • This Senior Purchasing Manager Food role is ideal for forward thinking individual, who has a passion for buying and enjoys negotiation
  • Role is split 3 days in the office 2 days from home

The role:

  • The successful Senior Purchasing Manager Food will manage designated food categories and will have responsibility for sourcing and negotiating products that meets the strategic plan and delivers targeted sales and profit
  • As Senior Purchasing Food Manager you will manage the commercial relationship and supply arrangements with food suppliers. Including sourcing and benchmarking suppliers, products and pricing and implementing servicelevel agreements and contractual agreementswith all suppliers
  • Being a key member of the purchasing team, the Senior Purchasing Food Manager will be responsible for identifying improved purchasing opportunities across a range of products and suppliers
  • The Senior Purchasing Food Manager will be accountable for monitoring and managing supplychain risk, price volatility and suppliers' performance, in accordance with agreed contracts, servicelevel agreements and KPIs
  • You will currently be working as a food purchasing manager within food retail, foodservice, food wholesale or hospitality within the UK
  • It is essential that you can demonstrate a passion for buying and a flair for commerciality along with fantastic negotiation skills
  • Working as part of a team you must have excellent relationship building skills you will be able to communicate and influence with stakeholders.
  • As Senior Purchasing Manager food you must have good insight and data analysis skills and be able to action opportunities to drive profit
  • You will have excellent project management, planning and organization skills and will be able to work independently on your own initiative, a selfstarter with cando attitude
