Are you driven by a passion to make a difference to young people's lives? We're looking for a registered Health visitor /School Nurse /designated Lac Nurse with 0-25 understanding to join us as our
Strategic Lead for Health Visiting
as part of our new clinical health team at Barnardo's.
This role forms part of our ambition to be the leading provider of integrated children's health and social care services, to increase the reach of health and wellbeing services and reduce health inequalities in the community.
As
Strategic Lead for Health Visiting, you'll work as part of a small support team of expert specialist health professionals to ensure the systematic provision of high-quality specialist health visiting interventions for children, young people, and their families/carers.
You'll be helping us to develop our health visiting offer and early intervention and prevention healthy child programmes, across care groups, specialisms and care settings.
In addition, you will be required to:
- Provide clinical and professional leadership for our integrated health and social care
- Develop strategies to ensure the highest standards of care and clinical practice for health visiting services within Barnardo's
- Create, develop, deliver, and evaluate a range of health projects focused primarily on prevention and integrated child and family health and mental health
- Identify changes in practice to improve outcomes, in some cases developing and implementing changes in policy and service
- Provide expertise and specialist advice at regional and national level as required for individual contracts
- Ensure Barnardo's maintains uptodate knowledge of legislation and national and local policies
- Establish and maintain effective strategic national partnerships and relationships with children's services colleagues to integrate and promote the health visiting agenda
- Ensure that Barnardo's learning and development offer for children's services is current and meets contractual requirements
- Represent Barnardo's regionally and nationally as requested
You'll have:
Education/Knowledge
- Professional NMC Registration (current)
- SCPHN Health Visiting Registration (minimum 5 years' experience)
- Leadership or management qualification or recent experience in a leadership position (minimum 5 years)
- Expert knowledge of safeguarding policy and procedures and assessment and analysis of vulnerable children and families
- Experience of working as a SCPHN (HV) with vulnerable children and families, especially in leading and managing care
- Experience of leading and managing staff, and working collaboratively with other agencies
- Evidence of utilising evidencedbased practice and appraising standards, providing clinical direction and support for staff

£64,079.00-£74,119.00 per year
