    Description

    Terra Tek Ltd is part of the Igne Group of companies. We are seeking a Field Technician - Construction Materials Testing to work with us in Aston Clinton.

    This role involves working on-site, obtaining various soil and construction material samples, and testing them in-situ. We will consider both experienced field technicians and those without experience, as full training will be provided. You must have a clean UK driving license and be willing to work outdoors in all weathers.

    This is a full-time job with excellent rates of pay and overtime opportunities. You will also have the chance to work in an exciting and growing sector, with opportunities for career development.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. On-site sampling and testing of construction materials, such as soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt.
    2. Completing test sheets and entering data onto tablets.
    3. Liaising with senior staff members on work schedules and testing procedures.
    4. Working within our quality assurance systems.
    5. Maintaining high health and safety standards in line with company policies.

    Your Qualifications

    1. GCSE Maths and English or equivalent qualifications.

    About You

    We are looking for someone who:

    1. Holds a clean UK driving license.
    2. Has good communication skills, both written and verbal.
    3. Is physically able to handle manual tasks and lift heavy samples (up to 20kg).
    4. Can work effectively in a team environment.
    5. Is self-motivated, proactive, and able to organize their own workload.

    Desirable Qualifications

    1. Previous experience in a UKAS accredited testing environment.
    2. Knowledge of testing standards and processes.
    3. CSCS card.

    Salary and Benefits

    1. The basic salary is around £26,000, but this may vary depending on experience. Overtime is available after 40 hours and on weekends at enhanced rates.
    2. 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays.
    3. Ongoing training and development opportunities.
    4. A death in service scheme.
