Description

We are seeking to recruit a researcher with experience in both molecular biology to support across all service arms and lead on plasmid design and development.

The role will be predominately lab based.

You would independently drive and also provide support to specific research projects, aiding experimental design, reagent construction and performing in-house training, as necessary.

You will also maintain and operate facility equipment. The ability to plan, prioritise and schedule work is essential.


You should have a PhD with significant relevant experience including plasmid cloning, PCR and DNA sequence analysis, genetics, biochemistry, and a wide range of molecular biology skills.

Importantly, you should have enthusiasm for scientific research, the confidence and ability to acquire additional skills where necessary, and the motivation to work reliably and independently.

The position is full time and fixed-term for 18 months, from 1st June 2024.
