Description

The Centre for Reviews and Dissemination (CRD) at the University of York is recruiting a Senior Research Fellow/ Medical Statistician to lead health technology assessment and evidence synthesis projects, provide advanced statistical guidance, develop methods for use in evidence synthesis and contribute to departmental leadership.

Following a top ten place in REF21, implementation of a new research strategy and award of funding to establish a new NIHR Evidence Synthesis Group, we have created several additional posts including this position.

The person appointed will work mainly within our NIHR Technology Assessment Reviews (TAR) programme, which informs NICE decision-making, but may also work within other programmes.

They will also have the opportunity to develop their own research interests, being able to draw on CRD staff expertise including information specialists, systematic reviewers, health economists and early career statisticians and have the support of the departmental leadership team to do so.

CRD is also advertising a Research Fellow position which may be of interest to members of applicants' teams or completing PhD students.

This is a full-time position, but we will also consider applicants who wish to work part-time provided that this is at least 60% of a whole time equivalent (3 days per week).

We expect interviews to take place virtually in May
The University strives to be diverse and inclusive - a place where we can ALL be ourselves.

We offer family friendly, flexible working arrangements, with forums and inclusive facilities to support our staff. #EqualityatYork
