Job Description Management of splicing/blowing activities**:
Safety. Ensuring site standards maintained, assisting risk assessment, accident investigation, site instructions and inspections
Production. Working to programme in a timely manner to complete to deadlines

Quality. Ensuring standards of workmanship maintained. Ensure completion of quality records, continuity of process-capability. Driving standards

Problem solving / trouble shooting
Supervising of trainees/apprentices:
- Planning/communication of daily activities and locations
- Daytoday supervision of allocated apprentices including behavioural management, safeguarding, pastoral care and mentoring / coaching of all apprentices
- Communication
- H&S management and monitoring
- Individual weekly 1:1 progress meetings, inc. completing mandatory/regulatory reviews
- Help your team to exceed their goals and celebrate achievements
Control of plant, equipment and materials for the team
- Regular inspection of PPE/kit/vehicles
Liaison with Operatives
- Working together to ensure safety, quality and environmental standards are achieved
- Dealing with actions from technical audits
- Development / maintenance of competency levels
Any other duties reasonably assigned.

Qualifications Skills**:
- Understanding of the VMO2 fibre network
- NRSWA (Supervisors)
- Supervisory Management training
- IOSH / SMSTS
- Extensive, hands on, experience of slicing and blowing
- PIA
- IOLM
- OTDR
- OLTS
- PON testing
- New Build/Legacy
- Full UK driving license
- Experience of supervising trainees/apprentices

- This job is a fulltime permanent role, 8am5pm Monday to Friday from our Widnes Office
