We are looking for Therapy Assistants to join our pool of Bank staff to work on an adhoc basis as demand dictates.

We have opportunities to work with our Medical Therapy Teams working on the inpatient wards at both Ashford and St Peters sites.


We are looking for motivated individuals who enjoy teamwork and have an interest in supporting the health and care professions of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, dietitians and speech and language therapists with their patient treatment sessions and non-clinical duties.

Our Bank Therapy Assistants work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

They undertake non-clinical duties relating to the treatment and management of patients, such as administration, recording patient contacts, arranging referrals to other agencies and note writing.

There will be the opportunity to undertake basic observational skills assist with personal care needs, including washing and dressing of patients if required.

As a Therapy Assistant, you will be dealing with a varied caseload of patients.


You will be part of the ward therapy team and implement specific treatment programmes or interventions delegated to you by qualified therapy staff.


You will work in close liaison with the qualified staff on the ward (Physiotherapists, Dietitians, Occupational therapists and Speech and Language Therapists) to assist them with their duties.

You will also liaise closely with the nursing team and other colleagues.


You will assist with rehabilitation as determined by patients needs, and undertake non-clinical duties related to the treatment and management of patients.
