We Education are seeking to recruit experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work in a mainstream school in Cardiff.

The schools support learners with ASD, PDA, Global Delay Disorder and challenging behaviour and we are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants in or around Cardiff who are experienced in any of these fields.


We are currently recruiting Teaching assistants for a large primary in Cardiff who require 1-2-1 support for 2 learners with ASD.


As a Welsh Government framework staffing provider, we will give you the opportunity to work in Primary, Secondary and SEN schools as well as numerous privately run education provisions across Wales.


Overview:


  • Title: SEN Teaching Assistant role
  • Pay: £7075GHY per day minimum
  • Location: Cardiff
  • Hours: Ad Hoc, Short Term and Long Term
  • Monday to Friday 830am 330pm*

The role:
What you'll be doing as a SEN Teaching Assistant


  • Supporting and supervising learners with ASD, PDA, Global delay Disorder or Challenging Behaviour
  • Assisting learners at the start of the school day and when leaving at the end of the day
Assisting staff members in preparing the classroom for a lesson Working with learners in small groups and or working 1:1 with children with additional needs

  • Support the class teacher in the delivery of the lessons
  • Assist learners at break time with their lunch
Engage learners with both classroom and out of classroom activities Work in accordance to the school's behaviour management policies

At least 3 months experience of working with children in schools, nurseries or childcare settings - experience within an SEN setting would be beneficial Registration with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) - we can help you with this

  • References covering the last two years (no gaps)
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK

£70.00-£75.00 per day
