Petrofac is currently looking to recruit a Trainee Asset Planner on a permanent basis based in Aberdeen, UK.





JOB TITLE:
TRAINEE ASSET PLANNER


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • In support of the Duty Holder Assets and Operations & Maintenance contracts, the Trainee Asset Planner (IAP) will provide planning support to the incumbent planners in order to ensure that the Integrated Activity Planning process is delivering in accordance with Petrofac and client requirements.
  • Take personal responsibility for safety and adhere to Petrofac's 'Eight Golden Rules'.
  • Develop a good understanding of the fundamentals of planning and its advantages.
  • Develop and maintain the 28 & 90Day Integrated Asset Plans ensuring activity owners are clearly identified and populated.
  • Develop an understanding of offshore personnel rotas and POB Forecast.
  • Maintain the POB Forecast at 90 Day and 28 Day levels and facilitate removal of overallocation.
  • Deliver reports in support of the Planning Team.
  • Liaise with Activity Owners to collate and update Activity Readiness and report on Planning KPI's / Plan Attainment on a weekly basis.
  • Collate & Issue Planning KPI's / Plan Attainment ensuring stakeholders understand how it gives assurance that the Integrated Asset Plan is being executed effectively.
  • Develop an understanding of activity prioritisation.
  • Have a good understanding of priorities, interactions and dependencies between activities.
  • Establish and maintain weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual meeting schedule.
  • Attend and participate in relevant Petrofac / Client Planning meetings.
  • Ensure that all activities entering the Integrated Asset Plan have been assessed, prioritised and approved by the appropriate Gatekeeper.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationship with Offshore Operations Coordinator.
  • Identify potential improvements to the Planning and Scheduling Process and route suggestions through the Lead Asset Planner.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with client planning and maintenance personnel (onshore and offshore).
  • Understand the alignment between the integrated plan and the budget.
  • Action AIR and MOB forms.
  • Action deferrals and changes as and when required.
  • Ensure any changes are managed through the formal change management process with the relevant approval.
  • Provide adhoc planning for tender submissions, bids, transitions and business projects in support of Operations Team.
  • Understand the fundamentals of a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:


  • 4 Highers to include Maths & English.
  • Willing to attend Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training.

  • Excellent Computer Skills with good knowledge of Excel & Word.
  • Knowledge of Planning Software (Microsoft Project/Primavera P6) beneficial.

  • Appreciation of offshore operations within an Oil and Gas environment.
