DC11Bournemouth University's Doctoral College plays a leading role in supporting our Postgraduate Research Students (PGRs) through their journey, overseeing the quality assurance of PGR provision and contributing to the academic & social experience for this unique student cohort.

We have four Faculty Doctoral Schools which form part of the wider Doctoral College.


The opportunity has arisen for one creative and proactive Postgraduate Research Administrator (PGRA) to manage the administration of the PGRs from enrolment to conferment.

Although the post will be assigned to our Admissions and Awards team, you will need to respond reasonably and flexibly to support other team members in the provision of PGR administration.


You will work alongside a team of PGRAs across the University, and the wider Doctoral College team members, to provide specialised administrative support in respect of PGRs admissions and awards.

You will be pivotal in communication between PGRs, Doctoral College, Faculty Doctoral Schools, and their academic supervisory teams.

You will also provide a range of administrative and organisational support for the wide range of activities which enhance our postgraduate student experience and be first point of contact for PGRs and staff involved in postgraduate research admissions and awards.


You will be an excellent communicator, able to work well with students and colleagues to provide a high-quality service within a varied environment.

You will need to be able to prioritise a varied workload, be confident in working to your own initiative, have excellent communication and IT skills with good attention to detail and a flexible approach.
