Description


RPS are seeking an Area Team Leader for covering the North East Wales areas, who will work closely with the Operations Supervisor and Regional Contract Manager, to lead the safe and efficient delivery of Leakage services to high standards and ensuring compliance and managing the Integrated Management System.

You will act as a main point of contact for site staff (ALC and Logging Inspectors) and have responsibility for both Risk Assessment and Health & Safety Management, including the quarterly SBWI.

This is a full time permanent role, 40 hrs pw Monday to Friday,

What you'll be doing

  • Leading, training and mentoring a team of 810 fieldbased staff on a daytoday basis, in order to deliver outstanding client care, technical excellence and project outcomes as well as delivering monthly toolbox talks and safety alerts

  • Completing best observations and highlighting trends
  • Produce clear and up to date status reports from daytoday leakage delivery
  • Analysis and continuous improvement of leakage team's performance highlighting performance trends and reporting
  • Assisting site staff to locate and promote leakage jobs
  • Tracking and driving the performance of fieldbased staff
  • Formalisation and submission of incident and accident reports
  • Ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and accurately

Who we're looking for?

  • A successful track record of leading a team, with the ability to motivate, influence, negotiate and performance manage
  • A strong commitment to Health and Safety
  • A strong customer service ethos and track record of absolute delivery
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and targets
  • Excellent IT skills, working knowledge of MS office suite and work management systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • IOSH Managing Safely or similar
  • Full UK driving licence
