Internships are ONLY open to 2nd year to penultimate year undergraduate students from the University of Edinburgh based in the UK.


We are looking for two GENDER.ED Projects Interns to assist GENDER.ED and the Dick Vet School in an exciting collaborative project to map the footprint of women in European veterinary science and assess patterns of gender bias.


The Opportunity:


As GENDER.ED (Vet School) Project Interns you will locate, extract and collate data to allow us to understand the position of women in veterinary science publications and conference participation.

You will also have the opportunity to work with the project team to present your work at a conference, as well as be a named middle author on the resultant publication(s).


Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Evidence of interest in gender equality
  • A current 2nd, 3rd or penultimate year University of Edinburgh student
  • Data collection skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Literature review skills with ability to summarise succinctly and with clarity
  • Evidence of using initiative and selfmotivation to see projects through to completion and to overcome challenges or obstacles
