Salary:
£27,384 per annum, rising to £27,849 per annum and then again to £28,500 per annum in two annual increments.
Based in Melksham Police Station
An opportunity for a Missing Persons Operational Support Staff (MPOSS) has arisen within the Emerald Missing Persons Team based at Melksham Police Station

The successful applicant will work as part of a small team alongside Police and Council staff, and as part of the wider frontline Community Policing Teams.

The key aim of the role is to develop relationships with repeat missing children to better understand their 'push and pull' factors to inform future investigations.

To support investigations by advising on best practice and to provide frontline operational support activity and work closely with partner agencies in support of the Missing Person Coordinators and the Child Sexual Exploitation team.

The successful applicant will have the ability to problem solve effectively, be flexible in their approach to work and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skill.

Then successful applicant will have experience of working within a multi-agency environment and conducting investigations. Good keyboard skills and a high level of computer literacy is essential.
