As Site Labourer you undertake labouring and/or provide assistance to skilled tradesman such as carpenters, stonemasons, roofers etc as instructed and, at all times, carry out these duties and responsibilities in compliance with the ADDSC Health and Safety Policy.

You should also understand and comply with the relevant parts of the
ADDSC Quality and Environmental policies, for which training will be provided.

The postholder will work across multiple disciplines, and will have the opportunity to learn and develop skills as part of a team constructing individually designed residential homes.

The Company places great value on its environmental commitments, and where possible, assists the workforce to access working sites using shared transport.

Reporting to the Site Manager, and the Company Director leading on construction supervision, primary duties will include:

• Unload, carry and stack building materials and place tools andequipment in requested work area
• Dig trenches for footings and services
• Place and compact aggregates
• Mix, pour and spread concrete
• Build walls
• Carpentry duties
• Use hand power tools for drilling, cutting and chasing during construction work.
• Use wheelbarrows to remove rubble and rubbish from building sites
• Clean surfaces for painters
• Help maintain good site housekeeping and practice workplace safety
• Perform other duties as required by Site Manager
