We have teamed up with a great school in the Bury St Edmunds area who are looking for full or part-time Teaching assistants who can become part of their team of diverse professionals.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be in a small class of 8-10 pupils who require extra support to achieve everything they can.

You will work 1:1 with pupils throughout lessons helping them to work towards their educational targets under the guidance of an experienced teacher.

Additionally, the pupils have out-of-classroom activities within the timetable which you will also be required to support the pupils on.


This could include:
playing a multitude of sports off-site, learning forest schools, cooking sessions, and high ropes.


The school are looking for someone who is a good role model, enthusiastic, and a good motivator to young people.


Job description

  • Pay is £7585 per day
  • Working with a team of TAs and a Teacher with class sizes of 8 10 pupils.
  • Supporting the teacher to help the pupils reach their educational goals
  • Preparing the classroom for lessons and keeping the class tidy
  • Working 1:1 with pupils and in small groups
  • Hours will be from 8:3015:30
  • Dealing with challenging behaviour and learning deescalation skills.
  • Will be calm and patient with a real passion to help young people.
  • Ideally experience or an understanding of young people.
  • Have great communication skills to communicate effectively with pupils and staff
  • Be able to adapt behaviour deescalation techniques if required
  • Kind and trustworthy

Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract, Temp to perm


Salary:
£75.00-£85.00 per day

  • Monday to Friday
