Gleeson Recruitment Group are currently partnering with a market leading business in south Birmingham in search of a Tax Specialist.

This is a new position that offers great progression opportunities as well as fantastic exposure to unique and exciting projects internally.

They require an ambitious, commercially-minded tax accountant/analyst to join their business to support across a variety of functions.

This is an exciting position that will allow the successful individual to progress later in their career and have tangible influence of the company's future strategy.

The Role
As Tax Specialist you will report into the head of the department and is responsible for the following:

To establish and maintain a consultancy within the business for customer facing functions and clients on all matters relating to UK taxation covering both personal and corporate taxation.
Articulate and deliver specialist status on the taxation of trusts both theoretically and practically.
Provide training and support to advisers and clients to deliver betterinformed financial planning advice to our clients.
To act as a "spokesman" for the firm on a written, podcast, and video and be able to represent and market the firm positively on all aspects of taxation both internally and externally.
Manage and deliver updates and written and electronic collateral on tax changes and opportunities that arise out of the UK taxation system.

The Requirements

Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CTA.
Strong ability to business partner & influence stakeholders.
Experience within SME/HNWI taxation.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret financials into meaningful business recommendations.
Ideally studied accountancy, economics or business at university level.
