MMP Consultancy are currently recruiting for a Tenant Organisation Officer to join a Fantastic Local Authority based in East London on a Temporary Basis.


Key Responsibilities:

  • To coordinate, support and monitor the services provided to residents by the Tenant Management Organisations (TMOs).
  • Ensure that residents in the TMO areas receive excellent housing management services, and have good and effective access to information, processes and reporting facilities to resolve to any enquiries that may arise.
  • To work with the TMOs and coordinate their work with other council service provisions and local services / voluntary agencies, ensuring that they receive the minimum standards provided by the inhouse service.
  • To monitor the performance of the TMOs and to report the results as required and to ensure that KPIs are being achieved and suggest remedial action.
  • To monitor compliance with the current modular management agreement, to identify any breaches and to recommend any changes / variations that maybe appropriate. To supervise the ballot of residents and based on the outcome, take appropriate action.
  • To monitor the financial management of the TMOs and negotiate the payment of their allowances and the use of their surpluses for the benefit of the residents.
  • To ensure, regular liaison between the council and the TMOs on the services they provide and council's retained functions.
  • To ensure the TMOs deliver customer focused services in line with the management agreement and Service Level Agreements with the Council.

Experience:


  • Experience of working in Social Housing is required.
  • The post holder will have a good knowledge of the legal and regulatory requirements for social landlords.
  • The post holder will have a good knowledge of cliental monitoring and governance of contracts within a social housing context.
  • Understanding of the legislation and guidance relating to the Right to Manage would be an advantage.
