We are a friendly positive team of speech and language therapists working hard to help adults and children with their communication.

We have a clinic in Kings Heath Birmingham and need someone to carry out the day to day administration of our practice to enable us to carry out our vital role.

The Speech Therapy Practice offers independent speech and language therapy services to children and adults. We have been established since 2013 and many of our referrals are received through word of mouth recommendations. We are a small friendly team committed to delivering exceptional care to our clients.

We are based in our own therapy centre in Kings Heath; we also offer room hire at the centre to other healthcare professionals.

We run training courses several times a year for speech and language therapists and attract delegates from all over the UK, as well as overseas.

We are looking for a hardworking enthusiastic person to join us and ensure we continue to deliver an outstanding service in all aspects of our business.


Main Purpose of the role:


By delivering first class administrative support you will enable the Speech Therapy Practice to provide exceptional care to its clients.

  • To provide the Director with administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the Practice.
  • To provide administrative support to our team of speech and language therapists to enable them to deliver a personcentred service.
  • To liaise with clients accessing our speech and language therapy service and therapy centre utilising our practice software.
  • To follow our policies procedures and documented processes.
  • To manage the day to day administration associated with our training courses. Ensuring that delegate information is uploaded onto the system, issuing course joining instructions and ensuring full payment is made prior to the course start date.

Key Tasks and responsibilities:


  • You will work 10 hours per week.
  • You will be based 10am 2pm one day per week (Tuesday or Thursday) in the office at our therapy centre in Kings Heath. Remaining hours can, with negotiation, be worked flexibly, either working from home or from our therapy centre.
  • You will use the database WriteUpp to ensure client records are kept up to date.
  • Typing up letters, notes and reports from audio files.
  • Managing the appointment diaries of our speech and language therapists.
  • Liaising with members of the public and case managers accessing our speech and language therapy services.
  • You will liaise with speech and language therapists, NHS trusts and other organisations answering any queries they have, so that they can access our training services.
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date records for our training courses and liaise with the training tutors as required.
  • Converting enquiries into bookings from therapists seeking to hire our therapy centre.
  • Raising invoices for our services and reconciling payments received.
  • You will review and update Practice and therapy centre policies.
  • Providing support with other administrative tasks as required, e.g. photocopying, filing, completion of audits/checklists, ordering equipment.
  • You will work in accordance with General Data Protection Regulation requirements.

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 10 per week


Salary:
£25,484.00-£26,733.00 per year
