iProov has continued to scale rapidly this year and is currently looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the growing Innovation function in our talented Product & Innovation team based in London.


How you'll make an impact:


As a DevOps Engineer at iProov, you will play a crucial role in the Innovation function of the Product & Innovation team.

Your primary responsibility will be to contribute to the development and operations of the platform, ensuring its reliability, scalability, and security.

You will work closely with the Head of Innovation and collaborate with other technical experts to meet customer requirements and drive innovation.


We tend to look for people with experience in:

  • Infrastructure Design and Support: Participate in the design and support of complex infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IAC) principles. Provision platforms and associated facilities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Solution Development: Design, develop, test, optimize, and build solutions to enhance the platform's performance and capabilities. Troubleshoot platform issues, provide support, and respond to escalated tickets.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and integrity of the platform by maintaining, improving, and documenting security measures. Help support compliance requirements and address audit demands.
  • Cloud Technology: Utilize public cloud services from major cloud providers (preferably GCP) and have advanced knowledge of cloud technologies. Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and continuous deployment techniques is essential.
  • Infrastructure Provisioning: Use tools like Terraform to provision platform resources from code repositories. Have experience with networking, virtual private clouds (VPCs), virtual networks (VNETs), compute and storage systems, and related ancillary systems.
  • Linux Command Line and Microservices: Possess extensive experience with Linux command line tools, such as Curl, awk, dig, etc. Work with microservice runtime environments, including code repositories, versioning, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools.
  • Web Services and Authentication: Have knowledge of API, HTTP web services, and authentication/authorization protocols. Troubleshoot issues related to these areas.

  • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to articulate detailed arguments and challenge ideas and concepts. Distill complex information and present it succinctly and accurately.
  • Show motivation, take initiative, and selforganize tasks efficiently.
  • Be adaptable and a team player, experienced in collaborating with distributed teams.
  • Comfortable presenting information in written or verbal formats.
