Description

We are one of the leading Utility companies in Northern Ireland, and are actively seeking a Blacktop Operative with previous experience
You will perform blacktop reinstatement for our client Northern Ireland Water and be part of a three man team

Reporting to a Works Supervisor on a daily basis

The ability to work efficiently and to deadlines, whilst maintaining a high level of workmanship

Willing to work flexible hours and cover emergency work where needed

Follow all Health & Safety Guidelines as set out by the Company

This is a very busy working environment and we offer ongoing paid overtime (both weekend work and out of hours)


About The Role
Experience in working with asphalt and bitmac is needed. The work mainly consists of reinstating patches and tracks.

Remove spoil and waste materials and dispose of as instructed

Complete allocated work(s) and work records within the planned timescales to the standard of Safety and Quality

Liaise with the planning/management team throughout the working day to facilitate the completion of planned tasks

A professional attitude is expected at all times as the role is working in public areas and on some occasions you will be required to work within a customer's property

Must have a class 1 or class 2 licence


Required Criteria

  • Hold a CSR Card
  • Experience in blacktop reinstatement
  • Class 1 or class 2 licence

Desired Criteria

  • Have a valid streetworks card

Skills Needed
Compliance, Communication, Backhoe and other construction equipment operation
