_Recra are working in partnership_ with a reputable and well-established fleet management company who are keen to add a Workshop Foreman to their team in Burton. The position is for an experienced HGV - Shift Foreman responsible for organizing and conducting a working shift, maintaining commercial vehicles and trailers to MOT standard supporting the management team.

  • Organize team workloads and communicate with Shift.
  • Communication with other Foremen, Workshop Controller/ Service Dept and Depot manager.
  • Health and Safety of shift members.
  • Ensure all paperwork and general workshop duties are completed.
  • All work is carried out on a time scale acceptable to the customer.
  • Control of Idle time and productivity.

Skills/experience:


  • Good leadership qualities.
  • High level of technical knowledge and ability in mechanical repair.
  • Able to help with technical problems.
  • A calm approach to organizing a busy workshop.

Ideal skills:


  • Technical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician) or proven experience repairing & maintaining vehicles.
  • Current driving license.
  • IRTEC inspection license.
  • Previous Foreman role/ experience.
  • HGV Class 1 would be an advantage.
Monday - Friday / Alternate Shifts.

6 am till 2 pm or 2 pm till 10 pm - with half hour unpaid lunch break.
