Stores Person /Stock Controller

Prestigious lightweight commercial body building company are looking for a Stores Person to join them, with experience of Stock Control

Working within the Stores Department, you will be expected to run the department on a day-to-day basis


This also includes:

  • The Role:
  • Day to Day running of our busy stores department as part of a team.
  • Managing Stock levels using our internal stock system
  • Liaising with suppliers and internal members of the team
  • Managing deliveries and goods in
  • Taking care of dispatches
  • Storing goods in the designated areas
  • Unloading & Loading stock by hand or by forklift in a safe efficient manner
  • Preparation of stock, picking and checking.
  • Researching cost saving within the stores department
  • Ordering stock on time to a strict budget.
  • Keeping the stores and workspace area clean and tidy
  • Previous stores experience an advantage but not essential (As training will be given)
  • Have the confidence and competency of managing stock levels to a strict budget.
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work as an individual or as part as a team.
  • Reliable and conscientious
  • Physically fit
  • Be an excellent communicator with colleagues and all levels of staff along with a professional telephone manner when dealing with suppliers and contacts externally.
  • Have the ability to conduct all work tasks quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Should be familiar with all safety rules of a workshop and associated processes
  • Keen interest in Manufacturing
  • Flexible approach to working hours when required
  • Experience within the commercial body building sector an advantage but not essential
  • Forklift license preferred
  • Windows experience essential
  • Stock system experience preferred but not essential (As full training will be given)
The hours of work are 40 hours per week, 07:30am pm Monday to Friday.

You may be asked to completed overtime to meet the company needs.

The positions is temp to perm

Wages £ - £13.00 per hour depending on experience.

Contract length: 3 months

£12.00-£13.00 per hour
