Description

Due to increasing demand on the business, we are looking to hire a new production operator/packer to join our team.

This role is a primarily a production role with some duties that require office and IT skills.


Duties Include:
De-burring parts, cleaning, and polishing parts
Packing parts for shipping and export
Grit blasting / Glass bead blasting
Foundry processes using molten metal to cast products

Etching part numbers to our products
General housekeeping, cleaning machines and handling swarf.

Creating delivery notes using our ERP system
Etching part numbers to products
Accept deliveries and entering into our ERP system.
Printing shopfloor documents and drawing packs.
Completing works orders in our ERP system
Creating delivery notes using our ERP system, printing labels
Booking shipping with courier online portals.


Training
Training will be provided in all aspects of the role. There is potential to develop this role into machining processes, non-destructive testing and quality


About you
This role will suit someone with a positive attitude to learning and development.

It is essential that you are flexible, to be able to work with a small team and adapt to new requirements.

You must be fit and strong to perform the duties within this role. You should have some experience of working in a manufacturing/industrial/production environment.

Attention to detail

  • Good practical hand skills (dexterity), using hand tools, air tools and power tools.
  • Good communicator
  • IT skills are essential.
  • Ability to read manufacturing drawings is an advantage
  • Experience with ERP systems is an advantage

Note:

23 days annual leave, shutdown between christmas and new year

Salary:
£11.00-£12.00 per hour
