This post is fixed term for 1 year due to funding.


The SIROC study needs you This post will allow you to be directly involved in shaping a research study looking at immune system deficiency in patients with treatment-resistant schizophrenia, and the wider population.

It is suitable for a nurse or graduate with research experience. The post-holder will be expected to organise their own time to fulfil the needs of the study.

They will visit clinics throughout Wales to recruit participants, and be involved in all aspects of the study's management, from regulatory processes to data entry.


The post-holder will be managing all aspects of the SIROC study, working in a proactive and autonomous way to ensure the study runs smoothly.

They will recruit study participants, giving them a full explanation of the research before receiving their informed consent to participate, then co-ordinating data and blood collection with local clinical teams.

They will organise the transfer of samples to UHW Immunology lab for analysis, collect data from participants and record in digital format, and resolve any data queries that may arise.

They will liaise with local research and development teams and clinical teams, to ensure the study meets its targets.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
