R&D Tax Accountant

£35,000 per year
The Job Role:
Our client are an established boutique research & development firm and due to further expansion, they are looking for an
experienced R&D Tax Accountant.
The financial responsibilities of the R&D tax accountant include calculation of financial information, aiding the submission of R&D tax claims, supporting the team and their development.
Job Title Duties:
- The financial responsibilities of the R&D tax accountant include calculation of financial information, aiding the submission of R&D tax claims, supporting, mentoring and management of the team.
- You will work alongside the Technical Consultants to collate and prepare financial reports that support your client's innovation claim for submission to HMRC.
- You will work closely with the client visiting their premises to help you understand their unique operation
- Liaise with the client's Accountant to obtain & collate relevant information including Corporation Tax computations and Annual Returns to calculate the R&D claim.
- The ability to produce technical reports would be advantageous.
- Minimum of two years' experience as an R&D tax accountant
- You should have a sound understanding of HMRC, R&D and BEIS Guidelines.
- Experience of working in an accounting, tax, or R&D environment
- AAT/ATT/ACCA/ACA/CTA qualification preferable
- You will be comfortable liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients.
- Competent in analyzing business accounts and using excel software.
- Experience of continued professional development
- You will need to have good commercial acumen and a confident communicator
- Problem solver with the ability to process information accurately and effectively, interpreting data as required
