Head Housekeeper, Private Estate, Cornwall

Large private estate in East Cornwall requires experienced Head of Housekeeping to assist with the smooth running of five properties.

The estate is a venue for weddings and other events, and rents out some of the properties as holiday lets.

There are 25 bedrooms in total across the five properties.

Duties to include:

Management, training and recruitment of a team of housekeepers
Booking staff
Working to an agreed budget
Cleaning, polishing, care of fine furniture and antiques, making beds, laundry etc
Overseeing cleaning standards and quality control
Final checks in properties prior to guests' arrival
Managing stock levels of cleaning supplies and linen
Liaising with contractors
Monitor and report repairs
Locking and alarming properties

A strong team player as well as a team leader are both essential qualities for this role. Extensive Private Housekeeping experience is a must, with experience in Housekeeping management. Must have strong attention to detail and the very highest standards in all areas of work.
