Allen Lane are working with an Audit firm who specialise within public sector audits.

Looking for experienced Audit Managers who can help to manage and motivate audit teams to deliver high quality audit work.


Key responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong people management skills including the ability to lead, develop and motivate diverse teams and support all colleagues to deliver great work and achieve their potential.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to self development, and to strategic objectives
  • Support and manage teams to ensure the delivery of high quality audit work across a range of clients to competing deadlines.
  • Use professional judgement and scepticism to assess the quality and validity of audit evidence, challenge where greater assurance is needed and support teams to do so.
  • Contribute to the development of our approach to financial audit, supporting improvements in our audit methodology, audit software, use of financial data, and operational working practices.
  • Create recognition and impact from our work by developing strong and influential relationships with external clients and stakeholders.
  • Professional qualification (CCAB or equivalent) with recent postqualification experience in delivering external audit
  • Exceptional audit project management skills, able to deliver high quality audit work across a range of clients to competing deadlines
  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills to maximise the influence of our work with external clients and stakeholders
  • Collaborative, communicates and engages well with colleagues at all levels, and invests in their development and the wider success of the organisation.
  • Strong people management skills including the ability to lead, develop and motivate diverse teams and support all colleagues to deliver great work and achieve their potential
  • Experience of designing, developing and implementing initiatives to improve audit quality.
  • Experience of public sector or charity audits
  • Experience in implementing and embedding transformational change in financial audit methodologies, software and use of data
The role start dates vary. The client is operating a hybrid working model based in their London office. Salary ranges from £65,000 - £83,000.
