July 2023 and ending in July 2024.

This 12 month program is a fantastic opportunity for anyone in the very early stages of their career to join one of the leading companies in Film and TV.

Although each role is different and part of a different department, all our internships will give you an in-depth understanding of the industry and department and will play a major part in helping to carve out your future career.

Internship and Department overview:This internship will sit with our Central Team as part of our TV Distribution & Networks division.

The Central Team works at a global level in a matrix structure with other central, regional and local teams to support the following key areas:

Licensing Deals - we either lead or support on key global / regional / local deals across SVOD, AVOD, Pay TV

Transactional Digital - we oversee the international transactional digital business and all global retailer relationships

Business Development - we lead on developing new products and services to support future business objectives often working with our sister companies across Sony Corporation. We are also a key part of the team building out Sony Pictures owned and operated AVOD services.


This is a very busy team that interacts with teams around the world on a regular basis to ensure we are tracking the business in a consistent way, drawing insights from deal performance or title performance and developing new products and services to drive future growth in the business.


What you will do:


Global Commercial Strategy Support & Analytics Role - to help us with some of our data crunching, trend analysis and report production, reviewing and digesting research that specifically support deals or initiatives to be shared across our global teams, they could also help us automate some of our processes and reports, and provide support across the team in key areas.

Support with project co-ordination on business development and digital growth projects

  • Summarising insights into linear, SVOD and AVOD title performance from Tableau dashboards to support deal negotiations and content programming
  • Supporting the creation of Excel models to evaluate deals under negotiation and to track ongoing deal performance
  • Helping the team to define and develop KPIs
  • Maintaining and creating Tableau dashboards to visualise and share data in an easily digestible way
  • Supporting content curation, identifying films and TV Series which align with clients' needs around seasonal events
  • Monitoring competitor windowing strategies in collaboration with Research and communicating to the team
  • Tracking the evolution of SVOD and AVOD services pricing (SVOD only), utility, content, new territory launches, bundling
  • Collating and summarising corporate presentations and investor reports from key clients
  • Extracting marketlevel data from third party sources (such as subscriber #s, broadband uptake) to feed into deal modelling and crossterritory comparisons
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline reports and processes; helping to implement these changes
  • Maintaining a list of relevant upcoming conferences, webinars and training courses and circulating to the team. Attending these events when required and summarising to the wider team
  • Liaising with Home Office teams to ensure smooth information flow
  • Option to become involved in a UK Employee Business Resource Group
