Integrated Care Pharmacy Technician

The Integrated Care Technician will support community services and the Integrated Community Network (ICN+) Pharmacy team with patient self-administration in their own homes.


This role further expands the integrated approach to medicines in the borough and supports the development and delivery of a pharmacy technician service in the ICN+ team and virtual ward model.

The role will involve collaborative working with both clinical pharmacists and other members of a multidisciplinary team to drive the improvement and quality of patient care through the provision of efficient, safe and effective use of medicines.


Tasks may also include managing individual queries to help patients get the most from their medicines, medicines reconciliation, administration of medication, audit, promoting robust ordering systems around medicines and reporting of adverse events.

Good communication skills are a must, as you will be working with a variety of stakeholders and interpreting situations to develop, provide and communicate effective solutions around medicines use.

You will also be educating and consenting patients and/or carers.
