We are looking for a Pharmacy Healthcare Assistant for our Pharmacy in St Peters, Worcester.

full time pharmacy staff with or without experience_. This is a great opportunity for someone to enter the pharmacy profession or join our progressive team to further their opportunities. Full training will be provided leading to recognized Pharmacy MCA/dispensing qualifications and you will gain a wealth of experience, with the possibility to further training opportunities.

Joining us as either a Pharmacy Counter Assistant, you'll be part of an enthusiastic and hardworking team that work together to make a positive difference to the lives of their patients.

From working the counter to assisting in the dispensary and keeping the branch ready for customers, there is a wide range of duties for you to be involved in, such as:


  • Delivering exceptional customer service, providing health advice and services to our patients through engaging conversations. Ensuring that every customer leaves the pharmacy feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs
  • Keeping the shop floor fully stocked and ready for customers through accepting and working deliveries and completing stock takes
  • Delivering the technical aspects of the dispensary, allowing and ensuring the safe supply of medicines. This could be through ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, and supporting the collection of prescriptions.
  • Using the clinical computer system (PMR) to ensure all relevant information is recorded within individual patient records. Resolve computer problems when these arise by consultation with colleagues or PMR provider.
  • Endorse prescriptions accurately by checking prices with suppliers as necessary.
  • Maintain minimum stock levels of medicines, checking expiry dates and storage conditions. Ensure the safe disposal of returned and outofdate medications.
  • Place accurate and timely orders with suppliers and accept deliveries of medication, adding them to the computerised stock control records.
  • Communicate effectively and regularly with other members of the dispensing team to ensure the accurate exchange of information relating to patients and their medication.
  • Liaise with members of the primary care team regarding medication for individual patients.
  • At all times maintain absolute confidentiality.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and adhere to the company dress code.
  • Assisting with sales and general store duties including creating product displays and cash transactions.
  • Drive awareness of all the extra services we offer in Pharmacy.
  • Maintain good relationships with the pharmacy team, feeding back relevant customer comments and concerns with the aim of improving the customer experience.
  • Support the Pharmacist with the delivery and effective record keeping of patient services.
  • Maintain store/dispensary equipment, ensuring it is clean, accurate and in a good state of repair.
  • Understanding the strict Standard Operating Procedures and work to them as our customers will expect nothing less.

Your Core Hours of Work
Full-Time (29.5 hours)


Monday - 1000hrs to 1500hrs

Tuesday - 1000hrs to 1800hrs

Wednesday - 100hrs to 1500hrs

Thursday - Day Off

Friday - 1000hrs to 1500hrs

Saturday - 0900hrs to 1700hrs (half hour unpaid break)
