An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust within the

Widening Participation Team:
full time 37.5 hours


We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated individual to provide an efficient and effective clerical and administrative support service to the Widening Participation team in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.


The successful apprentice post holder will be required to work in various areas throughout the Education Centre to develop skills, knowledge and experience in all aspects of administration.

This will be via on the job training and formal training sessions to establish knowledge and understanding. You will also undertake the apprenticeship at level 2 in Customer Services Practitioner.

To efficiently undertake basic administration and clerical duties which may include the following duties as directed:

  • To input and extract data and complete photocopying, faxing, filing and typing duties as directed
  • To process work experience files (communicating with work experience students, requesting and processing relevant documentation, requesting and collecting ID badges, drafting and sending Placement Agreements, delivering work experience packs)
  • To assist in the administration process for the adverts on NHS jobs
  • To support the organisation of RUH careers events and workshops update resources (posters, leaflets, handouts)
  • To support the team to maintain accurate, timely and legible records
  • To answer/deal with queries, both face to face and via the telephone, take messages and pass them on to the relevant member of staff in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • To put together and deliver resources to careers ambassadors
  • To maintain filing systems in line with organisations policies and procedures.
  • To assist with the ordering and maintenance of stock supplies (specific to role as appropriate).
