Salary Range:
£21,700 per annum


Hours Per Week: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday


Objective of Role

The purpose of this role is to:

The HR Assistant will provide administrative support to the Senior Managers of Cephas Alpha Group, across the full range of the HR function.

You will be responsible for delivery of HR and recruitment services with specific areas of central HR administration.


Main Duties

  • Upload open vacancies to the recruitment software, ensuring adverts are up to date and in line with current legislation
  • Responsible for ensuring closed vacancies are removed and refreshing existing vacancies on a weekly basis.
  • Distribute CVs to the relevant departments in a timely fashion.
  • Create offer letter for approval, ensuring the information is accurate i.e. salary, location, hours of work, start date
  • Ensure payroll are made aware of any contract changes
  • Generate a DBS for new starters using the company's DBS software
  • Recording DBS expiry dates, and manage renewals with the Managers
  • You will be required to take notes or record meetings for investigations and disciplinary's
  • Manage personnel files ensuring compliance
  • Undertake regular audits on personnel files for compliance
  • Create and manage onboarding and induction process

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Experience of producing letters and documentation using word
  • Experience of prioritising workload, time management and dealing with conflicting priorities
  • You will possess administration skills and be able to take notes at an investigation/disciplinary meeting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential appropriately is essential
  • You will need to possess a GCSE Maths and English or equivalent qualification
